This was the first New Year's in a long time that I didn't make a concrete resolution to lose a lot of weight. I made a half-hearted resolution that I should lose some weight, but logically I know the weight will come off in time.

My resolution this year was to be successful in school.

I made good grades this semester, boosting my GPA past the point that had me on academic probation. I'm also taking a class towards my Journalism major this winter, which should further help my GPA. I really like the class, which is Mass Media Writing. It focuses on Print Journalism, PR, Broadcast Journalism, and bits of Advertising. I now know a bit of what I'm getting into with the major I'm in.

I had a pretty calm New Years Eve this year. My boyfriend visited me for about a week and was with me for that night. We went with my parents to a local bar to partake in some karaoke. We drank a bit and I (badly) sang a song, and then we left when we got bored and went back to my house to play some Guitar Hero, continue drinking, and end the night with some lovemaking. All in all, a pretty quiet night compared past New Years'.
